5 STARS!!! Probably the best meat I have ever had. Most affordable and best Florentine steak in Florence. Highly recommend. Every dish and course was great! Need to try this place out. This is the first place that told us we need to finish up because they need the table. Not common in Italy. Must stop by here.
The food was excellent and the service was even more excellent. The waiters kept checking on us and made excellent recommendations. It’s inexpensive compared to other places and we had a lot of meat to share for two when we ordered the 1kg Florentine steak. It’s a very local place, highly recommended. I would recommend making reservations as you can wait a bit if you don’t have any, which we didn’t know about so we went early, at 7pm and there were already 2 people in line, though the place opens at 7:30pm, and we got to sit around 8pm, so it worked out perfectly.
A Restaurant in the Spirit of the OLD Florence located in San Frediano, Arno River left shore. Very tasty genuine food,Chianti wine was excellent.Recommended
A must to visit when in Florence!!! We tried the truffle pasta, zucchini flowers and florentina steak. They were all cooked to absolute perfection. The truffle portion was generous and the steak was rare, juicy and tender. My only regret was not having a bigger stomach to have tried more dishes and coming here on our last night. The house wine is only 10 euros for a litre and don’t forget to end your meal with the sorbetto and limoncello. All this for only 80 euros. Our food server was also super friendly and we had a nice chat at the end of the night. I unfortunately can’t remember his name but he really made our night memorable here!
Didn’t plan on going there but pleasantly surprised with food and service
Lives up to all the great reviews! Amazing food, friendly staff. If you're looking for great food in a no frills, down-to-earth setting you can't go wrong here. Would love to come back the next time I'm in Florence.
Best food I had in Florence, the staff was really friendly explaining the different things on the menu. Their wine was great too!
Come here for the steak, which is cooked close to rare by default. Great prices and service. A must eat location
This place is so amazing!!! Visited Italy twice and been this place twice! Can’t forget these!!! I will go again if I get to visit Italy again! 💯
Loved the steak. Oddly I fell in love with the rabbit pasta that was served that day. Homemade pasta with a rabbit sauce that left me chasing a pasta high for days. This will be the pasta to beat.
Awesome little place with delicious typical plates from the Florence cuisine.
great service, steak and wine. the price is also reasonable!
A really wonderful restaurant. Wonderful food, wonderful staff, wonderful quality, and even wonderful price! You should not miss it!
The best T-Bone steak I've had in Florence was here!! This place is well tucked into Piazza Piattellina and is a short walk from Ponte Vecchio (10 min walk). We had the pasta truffle and few other plates that I can't remember (at least their Italian names) but the real attraction is the steak. My parents, who prefer their steak well done, were also able to get the T-Bone. They received their steak rare and cut the pieces that they wanted to chef to cook further. The food was all around great and the price was very reasonable. We spent about 140 Euro that included 2 cokes, 2 T-bones, and 3 pasta plates. Prices will vary of course but as they say, you don't get the best Florentine food on the main streets, all the best places are tucked in the side streets.
Amazing REAL Italian food. Had the pasta of the day after seeing all the locals in there and thinking it must be the real deal, and I trusted the chef would sort me out. The pasta of the day was wide ribbon pasta served with rabbit meat mince. It was spectacular, and the price made it even more so (I believe it was only €10). Would 100% go again and will be returning on my stay if I get a chance.
Located a few steps from Piazza del Carmine, I'Brindellone is a perfect restaurant for tasting Classic Florentine Dishes like the famous Bistecca alla Fiorentina, succulent, melt-in-your-mouth steak, grilled on coal. This place is always packed so you should make reservations in advance. The food is delicious and the price is affordable.
One of the best restaurants in the area, which still served traditional food at a price range which can be enjoyed by many.As a Florentine myself, I come here often when visiting home as I got to know the staff over time, they are always very helpful and kind, and will make sure that you enjoy the experience. The food is traditional, and damn tasty, and it's also priced very reasonably. Portions are also quite generous so you should be able to fill up rather quickly. All in all I would suggest this restaurant over many tourist traps they you can find all over Italy which are anonymous and tasteless. Definitely worth a shot!
Just a wonderful meal. The restaurant feels really cozy and inviting, and we were helped by what I think may be the single friendliest waiter I've ever met. He was incredibly nice, informative, and accommodating. The food was all amazing as well. Our favorite dishes were the black truffle pasta and the Bistecca alla Fiorentina. The steak was beautifully seasoned, and if you're looking for a great place to try out this local classic, you will be in good hands here. The house wine was also absolutely delicious, but that shouldn't surprise anybody who is familiar with wine from the Tuscany region of Italy. Overall, this was a fantastic meal, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to eat on Florence. Try to make reservations in advance if you can, as this seems to be a pretty popular spot for dinner.
We were recommended this place by our Air B & B host. And we loved it. Food was amazing and service was great. Suggest getting a reservation as it filled up very quickly after they opened their doors.
Fantastic food and fantastic service. Steak was delicious and the profitoles and mascarpone dessert were some of best I've ever had. Can't wait to come back to Florence and come here, was the best way to end our trip!
Very nice food at very reasonable prices!
Local restaurant, not screaming for tourists. Good food, good price and air conditioning on. Lunch menu (including first course, main course, side dish, bread and wine or water) for 10 €.
Superior service and food. Be on time though or else they will blacklist you
So good. Lots of locals in here for lunch. Also saw a grandma or two so you know it’s fire
Great service and great food, good prices too! There was a line outside before the place opened so you know it was good. Definitely will be coming back!
We had the truffle pasta, boar pasta and their famous steak.
Great food. The steak was awesome whatever run they use. Staff are very friendly and prices are very reasonable.
We came here for lunch - it was busy with local workers and tourists but worth the short wait to get a table. Not many other places were open in the immediate area. We tried the cured meats, Tuscan dumplings (fried dough), tripe dish and fresh truffle with pasta and butter sauce. It was all delicious and a reasonable 63 euro with drinks for four people. Would recommend for a casual meal if you're passing by
Must try the steak!! And the pappardelle al ragu!!
This is a wonderfully friendly, inexpensive Italian restaurant of the very highest quality. From the moment we were welcomed inside, the staff made us feel at home, and explained the menu extremely well. The starters (€14 for four to share) were excellent, and our mains (about €10 each) were simple food done brilliantly. I had the pasta of the day, papardelle with rabbit, and it was the best pasta I'd ever eaten! I could not recommend this place more. Book in advance.
Delicious and inexpensive, the waiter was amazing and spoke perfect English. Out of the way, so not as high priced and snooty, and we were the only Americans in a room full of locals. HIGHLY recommended.
My terrible Italian didn’t prevent us from enjoying a fantastic family dinner. Amazing truffle pasta, Florentine steak and a similar-to-Burrata appetizer were all amazing. Of course, delicious russo house wine. Worth the long walk from our hotel. Price was very reasonable.
My friend recommended this restaurant for us. I booked a table before two weeks. The table was reserved from 19.30 till 21.30. I call to the restaurant at 19.45 to tell them that we had a problem with traffic and will after 3-5 minutes. But they say that they don’t care about it, and we lost the table. When I tell them ,that I couldn’t call to the restaurant about 15minutes, because the phone line was busy and we have a table till 21.30, they sad, that it is our problem... very bad staff(((
Great little bistecca. Florentine steak was good value for its price. Meat wasn't the best cut, but superbly cooked and seasoned with an excellent crust. Don't even bother to tell the waiter how you want your meat. It only comes rare/medium rare and very juicy. Desserts are also great. All in all, a low key neighborhood place with friendly staff. Make reservations to avoid disappointment.
Lucky to have eaten here! Very authentic Tuscan lunch, high quality pasta and cured meats. The stewed beef in tomato sauce was tender and delicious. Make a reservation it is generally hard to find a table, especially on the weekend.
Amazing localfood and very friendly place! The steak is just perfect and I would give one more star for the fagioli uccelletto! The place is very well known for the locals and tourists, so I would recommend you to book before :)
Genuinely decilious food. Tasty homemade meal with genuine taste, the food was truly amazing. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients, blended well with the dishes. These are things we ordered and everything (literally) were awesome - burratta salad, pasta with truffles, T-BONE 1.2 kg steak, tiramisu and house wine. So happy we found this hidden gem. Plus side - the pricings are also super friendly!
Amazing, amazing, amazing. Keep in mind that you need a reservation. We didn't realize, and the waiter so kindly gave us a super last minute reservation at 9pm when one was cancelled (we had come by twice in an hour...so clearly eager) and we jumped on it. So glad we did. Could t recommend it more highly.
The service was good. The T-bone was delicious but I didn't care much for the truffle spaghetti (and I love truffle)
Wow! This restaurant is awesome. The best Florentine steak ever. Highly recommend! Great food, great service, moderately priced. Reserve a table as they are booked every night they are that good!!!
Only three words to describe this place: Best Steak Ever. The T Bone Steak was 38 euros but tender and juicy. They only cook the steak Medium Rare to Rare. I also ordered the Truffle Pasta and that was extraordinary.
Unbelievably high quality and well prepared food, served with a smile. The taglierni al tartufo was delicious 🤤 and of course if you’re here, you must also get the bistecca alla fiorentina. Also the fried zucchini (forget how to say in Italian) ! Basically eat everything, and make a reservation in advance for a table outside for the best dining experience in Florence. We were recommended to go here by multiple Florentines, our friends and our AirBnB host, and it definitely did not disappoint!
Restaurant only I want to know!!So kind people, So delicious foodsIf you eat "taglierni al tartufo", your eys become bigger and you cannot close your mouth with surprise. Reservation neccesary.
If you only try ONE place in Florence, make it THIS one. Five star food at decent prices, all waiters speak english, great service, and did I mention the amazing food? You must try the Bistecca alla Fiorentina, but everything on the menu is delicious. Also - THE best cheesecake I've ever had in my life! Note: make a reservation, it's usually booked days in advance.
Loooved the conviviality of this place!!! The restaurant was booked when we arrived on a Tuesday night. The owner let us wait for 15 minutes and a table opened up due to cancellation. So we were able to eat dinner there. I would definitely recommend making a reservation because it seemed that was what local Florentines did. We ordered Florentine tripe cooked in a ragu tomato sauce. It was tender and very tasty. We also ordered fagioli, beans cooked in sage and tomato cream sauce. The flavor of the beans was amazing!! We also ordered parpadelle pasta of the day which was ground pork sausage with chopped tomato and pasta. Good portions. We tried the fried dumplings and they are exactly that. We ate them with olive oil and salt and pepper. Pretty tasty too. You can also order .5 liter house wine that is full bodied and flavorful. Restaurant was jammed pack while we were there! And the telephone was ringing off the hook! That is the sign of a good restaurant.
We tried quite a few restaurants on this same street and they were all quite nice, but we liked this one the most.
Allways full, you will need a reservation.
Really tasty truffle pasta
So far the best food i tasted in Florence... extremely friendly staff, and very good price too.
Casual local bistro. Great friendly people. True Tuscan home cooked food.
